FInal exam
The final due date for this assignment is January 14th (2016), 11:59 PM HOL Time. Please send all assignments to holcharmsclass[at]gmail.com (replace the [at] with the @ symbol!) with the subject line "Exam - [Your HOL name]". So if I were sending mine in, it would say "Exam - Ivelisse Ada" in the subject line. Please also include your name, house, and HOL ID at the top of your e-mail. Aly and I need this info to give you your hard-earned points, so double check that it's there! If you have any questions or need help with anything, please don't hesitate to send me a HOL message (my ID is iv823). I am always happy to help!
For the final exam, you will have the rare opportunity to choose between two exams to write. You may either take the short-answer theoretical exam, or the "practical knowledge" exam. Play to your strengths! The exam is mandatory and you may only attempt it once. Best of luck!

EXAM OPTION ONE - THEORETICAL
This exam is actually taken from a previous year, with some slight modifications made to it. Please answer the questions to the best of your ability. (Note: Some questions may require a bit of research, or creative writing/imagination.)
1. "Give the incantation and describe the wand movement required to make objects levitate.
2. Identify the spell that causes bogies to turn into bats and attack the victim. List a significant example of prior usage.
3. Give the incantation for the Shield Charm. Which spell can it not deflect, and why?
4. Which charm turns objects into a Portkey? What is a Portkey? What happens when an object is turned into a Portkey?
5. Peskipiksi Pesternomi - is this a genuine charm? If not, what would be a possible (correct) Latin incantation for a spell with this effect?
6. Muffliato - describe this charm's effect and tell me about its etymology.
7. What other effects does the Rictusempra Charm have, apart from uncontrollable laughter?
8. Describe the history of the unlocking spells.
9. Which spell (or give an example of a spell that) conjures and causes animals to attack when summoned? What animal is most commonly conjured?
10. Which charm does the incantation liberacorpus neutralize? Suggest an alternative spell name for the same effect.
11. Finite incantatem - does this end or refine a spell? Explain.
12. If mobiliarbus and mobilicorpus are variations of the same spell, identify the Latin root or word that links them. Give an example of a new charm that could be made using this root."
